At The Veg Lord they do!

This Saturday (22nd August) The Veg Lord, a gorgeously fresh farmers market based in Mossley, is holding it's first ever Pride event! It is going to be a fun-packed day with free face painting, a DJ and many stallholders, including our very own Alex!

All proceeds from the day are going to be donated to the The George House Trust, who provide support, advice and advocacy services for people living with HIV. The George House Trust has been working to support those living with HIV for 40 years. Their activism started in 1985 by a group of six gay men who wanted to challenge the stigma around HIV and provide information which would have been scarce and fear-driven at the time. The Veg Lord is run by Matthew David Gilmartin, and is an incredible community-led farm shop in Mossley. Matthew's mission is to make cooking fresh produce more accessible for people: from better prices, to an amazing range of produce and his very own recipes that are available for free on his website here and in their subscription boxes. You can discover more than meat with two veg without the paywall! In-store they have an insane selection of whole foods to choose from: fresh veg, an over the counter deli section, and wholesome junkie faves such as Bold Beans and Northern Pasta Co. What's not to love?! And what a perfect location for Pride to take place: wholesome, community focused and queer owned.

We are reaaaally excited to be a part of The Veg Lord's pride event, and we hope to see lots of you there! Come by between 10am-4pm to buy a houseplant, browse a delightful offering of fresh produce or just to have a boogie!
